1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off by speaking to it.
The design is also better than the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that resembles toys rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. smart robot is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It was able to collect small gravel, sand and even a tiny bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. And all this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.
The j7+, although not as intelligent as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, is a good option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates and it can be difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. These bots also have many additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're expensive at full retail but often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles like tables and walls and walls, which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few missed corners and on walls.

This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
